Jesse Owala
Jesse Owala is an Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture degree (B. ARCH). With a keen interest in building environmental sustainability, aesthetical functionality, and cost efficiency, he has overseen the design, implementation, and construction of projects both within and outside of Kenya, delivering successful projects in various parts of the country including Nairobi, Lamu, Kisumu, Kilifi, Nakuru, Meru, Machakos, Kajiado and Mombasa.
He is an enthusiastic volunteer in the local community, serving as a coach for the local football team, a volunteer at the Kenya Red Cross, and an endurance cyclist. Through community involvement, he has seen first hand how architecture can have a major impact in shaping communities. This has further fueled his passion for the field, and inspired him to adopt environmentally sustainable building solutions.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture (M. ARCH) with a focus on researching on emerging technologies that can sustainably shape the future of communities in informal urban areas.
