Kitengela 4 Bedroom Maisonette House Design in Kenya

4 Bedroom House Features and Specifications

This project comprised two similar investment villas developed within an underused portion of an existing residential compound in Yukos, Kitengela. The brief called for a separate access arrangement that would allow the new dwellings to function independently from the client’s existing house, while making efficient use of the available land. In response, the design was planned as a compact, market driven residential development with a clear focus on tenant appeal, spatial efficiency, and cost consciousness.
Each villa is organized over two levels and is complemented by a roof terrace, extending the usable outdoor living area and strengthening the overall value proposition of the scheme. The ground floor introduces a welcoming front porch, a well proportioned living room with dedicated television area, an open plan dining zone with handwash basin and breakfast counter, a practical kitchen with pantry, laundry and utility space, a kitchen porch, a guest bedroom, a shared bathroom, and a stair lobby. The kitchen is visually controlled so that it opens to the dining area while remaining concealed from the living room, supporting a refined sense of privacy and order. It is sized to accommodate a double fridge, gas cooker, double sink, generous work surfaces, and built in cabinetry, with finishes selected for durability and ease of maintenance.

Upper Floors

The upper floor contains a spacious master suite with a private balcony, a walk in closet, and a well appointed bathroom complete with shower, water closet, and handwash basin. The master bedroom is proportioned to accommodate a 6 by 6 bed, alongside a dedicated sitting or TV zone. The two additional bedrooms are both ensuite, giving the house a strong family oriented layout with a high level of convenience. A roof terrace crowns the building, while the stair shaft hosts the water tank in a neat and practical manner. Architecturally, the villa combines a brick cladding treatment at lower level with plaster and paint above, creating a balanced façade composition. Large window openings, a clear 3 metre headroom, and a thoughtful internal arrangement all contribute to a bright, comfortable, and highly competitive rental home.
